Description
Responding to Student Behavior focuses on strategies to prompt students to follow directions when they need reminders or additional support. In this session, teachers will learn to respond empathetically to student behavior, and explore and practice redirection techniques to get students on track. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a deeper understanding of how to effectively respond to student behavior in a way that supports and encourages positive outcomes.
2 hour workshop, offered online or in-person. For in-person, you must book a total of at least 3 workshops for a full day of PD.

Practice interpreting student behavior as a form of communication
Practice a variety of redirection strategies, including using anonymous and quick public redirection strategies
