Description

Building Affirming Partnerships with Students focuses on supporting students' social-emotional health, a precondition for academic achievement. In this workshop, educators strengthen their awareness of and skills to embrace the whole child through social-emotional, culturally responsive, and healing-centered teaching practices, with a focus on building authentic relationships with students.

2 hour workshop, offered online or in-person. For in-person, you must book a total of at least 3 workshops for a full day of PD.   

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to…

Engage in introspective reflection to build their capacity to support students socially, culturally, and emotionally

Practice “active listening” while engaging in a 1:1 conversation with students and/or their caregivers
