AI for Educators Workshop Series
AI is powerful. Help your teachers harness it for student success.
AI is everywhere, and educators are feeling the pressure to use it in their classrooms. How can school leaders support educators in using it effectively -transforming student learning while easing their workload?
AI for Educators Micro-Credential
Relay brings over a decade of experience in teacher professional education. Playlab is a non-profit dedicated to making AI accessible for educators. We’ve partnered to create a virtual workshop series that empowers teachers to design and build their own AI-powered chatbot. In this series, teachers will:
- Explore the risks and opportunities of AI in the classroom
- Create powerful AI-based tools to support their students right away
- Earn a micro-credential in AI Tool Design and Prompt Engineering for Educators
No experience needed.
Join us and start creating!
No coding experience is required to participate in this series. Playlab has built a user-friendly platform that allows teachers to seamlessly go from idea to execution. These workshops will provide insight and hands-on practice for AI-newbies or experienced users.
Virtual Workshops
Workshop 1: Introduction to Prompt Engineering
In this workshop, participants will learn all about prompt engineering—the art of effectively communicating with AI to achieve optimal results. Educators will explore the teacher-created AI chatbots hosted at Playlab and identify their own classroom challenges or opportunities where AI can make an impact. By the end of the session, participants will have begun crafting their customized tool.
Workshop 2: Collaborative Tool Development
This session empowers educators to transform their AI-powered chatbots from mere concepts into essential classroom resources. Participants will dive deeper into advanced prompt engineering, receive personalized feedback, and spend time further refining their creations into practical tools that elevate student engagement and learning.
Workshop 3: Showcase
The series culminates in an interactive showcase where participants present their AI tools to each other for feedback, celebration, and reflection on the future of AI in education. Participants will walk away with a classroom-ready tool tailored to their specific needs, and equipped with insights to enhance their teaching practices. They will also earn a micro-credential in AI Tool Design and Prompt Engineering for Educators from Relay GSE.
