Chidimma Emelue

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, Relay is thrilled to highlight some of our most passionate & dedicated teachers who are continuously making an impact in the lives of their students!

Today’s spotlight is Ms. Chidimma Emelue! Ms. Emelue is a teacher at Freedom Preparatory Academy/Memphis. Relay would like to thank you for your commitment to your student’s success, which serves as a prime example of why Relay exists and continues to do the work that we do!

Check out our Q&A with Chidimma below!

How has Relay helped you to become a more impactful teacher?

Relay has greatly improved my content instruction as well as my classroom management. I’m especially grateful for the expertise and modeling provided by my core Professors (Professor Armstrong and Professor Baldwin), as well as my social studies content instructor (Professor Tart). I am particularly excited about garnering skills for utilizing data to inform instruction and skills that help my students become socially cognizant and responsible citizens.

What’s one word that you would use to describe being a teacher?

Do you have a favorite quote about teachers and/or education? If so, please feel free to share.

The quote below is a big motivation for my students and I in our pursuit of history.
