Dean Jennifer Ramos

As dean of Relay New York, Jennifer Ramos leads all aspects of teacher preparation for the New York campus and teaches core pedagogy to Year 1 graduate students. She believes that great teachers are made, not born. Most recently, Jennifer served as the assistant dean of Relay New York, managing and coaching faculty. Jennifer previously taught high school Biology and Chemistry in North Philadelphia and Los Angeles. Now, after spending six years in New York, she and her family proudly call the city home. Ramos earned an Ed.M. from Columbia Teachers College and a B.S. in Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.

New York Distance Program: Relay Rochester

In the Fall of 2018, Relay launched a NY distance program in Rochester allowing us to extend our reach in our mission to teach teachers and school leaders to develop in all students the academic skills and strength of character needed to succeed in college and life.

The third largest city in the state of New York, Rochester is quickly becoming an appealing city to young professionals, especially aspiring teachers!  We are excited to have the opportunity to make an impact in an environment of committed and passionate educators across this great city.
