Q: When does Relay Summer Experience start? How long is the program?

Relay Summer Experience is an intensive, six-week summer teaching fellowship program. The program begins in late May and runs through early July.

Q: Where will the program take place?

In 2018, Relay Summer Experience will take place in New Orleans and San Antonio. In future years, we anticipate offering the program in additional cities. Information about specific site locations is provided to applicants as it becomes available.

Q: Where do I live during the program?

Relay will make arrangements for Fellows to take advantage of affordable, nearby campus housing during the program. Fellows may also have the option to secure local housing on their own.

Q: What experience do I need to apply?

Relay is looking for applicants who have demonstrated leadership and initiative in their current or past activities. Prior experience working with students or children is an asset but is not required. Summer Fellow applicants should be passionate about serving students in urban, high-need schools and communities, and should have an interest in exploring teaching as a potential career path.
